As a Process Manufacturing Apprentice at our Wyke manufacturing site in Yorkshire, you will gain real-world experience operating within a top-tier COMAH chemical production environment while studying towards a Level 3 qualification.
Over the course of this three-year apprenticeship, you’ll learn how a chemical plant operates in line with Standard Operating Procedures, developing the technical skills, safety mindset and practical experience needed to build a long-term career in manufacturing.

How You’ll Help Us Grow
1. Learn to operate plant and equipment safely in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
2. Observe plant operations and report any deficiencies promptly.
3. Complete process documentation accurately for all work carried out on shift.
4. Monitor processes, take readings and samples, and report abnormalities.
5. Ensure environmental and safety protection systems are functioning correctly.
6. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
7. Work collaboratively within the production team to keep operations running smoothly.
8. Study towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Process Manufacturing alongside practical site-based experience (training delivered by Cogent Skills Ltd)

To qualify, you must have GCSEs (Grade 4 or above) in English, Maths and a relevant Science subject.
What You Need to Know
Wyke is a top-tier COMAH site, operating with chemicals that require strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and must be worn as required.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, permanent roles may involve working a rotating shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off for 7 weeks followed by 18 days off).
