We are seeking a Children’s Home Registered Manager for our bed home in Barnsley.
Main Purpose of Job
The Registered Manager is responsible for the daily management of the home, ensuring high-quality care, promoting young people's rights, and adhering to organizational policies.
Lead a team of care workers, ensuring good outcomes for young people's physical, psychological, emotional, and social development.
Contribute to the ethos, values, and aims of the organization.

Responsible individuals and Operational Directors
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for Service and Practice
* Develop and deliver high-quality care in compliance with legislation, regulations, Ofsted SCIFF, and organizational policies, promoting equality and safeguarding.
* Ensure health and safety compliance and staff training.
* Maintain records and monitoring systems.
* Provide management information and statistical data.
* Innovate childcare approaches and represent the organization positively.
* Attend and chair meetings internally and externally.
* Participate in on-call duties, including sleep-in shifts.
* Write reports and oversee communication standards.
* Make informed decisions and oversee admissions/discharges.
* Lead change initiatives aligned with organizational ethos.
* Hold a relevant Diploma or work towards it.
Human Resource Management
* Recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisal of staff.
* Oversee staff development and mandatory training.
* Manage grievances, complaints, and disciplinary actions.
Management of Physical and Financial Resources
* Monitor budgets and financial transactions.
* Ensure maintenance of premises and equipment.
External Affairs
* Promote the organization externally.
* Coordinate with commissioners and referral managers.
* Lead forums and meetings.
