Job Title: Shift Engineer Location: St Paul’s, London Salary: Up to £50,000 Shift Pattern: Continental Alice Rose Recruitment is currently seeking a Shift Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical bias) to join a leading M&E engineering services provider at a prestigious mixed-use estate in St Paul’s. The successful candidate will hold a recognised electrical or mechanical qualification, have a strong understanding of building services, and be L8 trained. You should also have proven experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across building services equipment. In return, our client is offering: * A competitive basic salary of up to £50,000 * Regular overtime opportunities * Ongoing training and development to support your career progression Shift Engineer Key Responsibilities * Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance across a wide range of building services equipment. * Undertake fault finding, plant adjustments, inspections, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems in line with contract specifications. * Carry out multi-skilled tasks including, but not limited to: * Re-lamping luminaires * Fault finding on electrical wiring systems, motors, generators, lighting systems, chillers, and AHUs * Cleaning and maintaining foul water systems and drains * Inspecting and repairing M&E systems such as ductwork, plumbing, and heating systems * Ensure all daily worksheets, maintenance logs, and inspection records are accurately completed and submitted on time. Shift Engineer Requirements * Electrical City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2, ‘A’ & ‘B’ or mechanical equivalent. * L8 Trained. * Demonstrated knowledge of statutory compliance in HVAC and Water Treatment. * IOSH Working Safely (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification). * Strong customer-facing skills with excellent verbal and written communication. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Strong organisational and time-management skills. * Previous experience within building services engineering
