Base pay range
* £26.00 per hour (plus 19% NSA paid between 10pm to 6am)
* Shift Pattern - Rotating Days/Nights
* 3 days on, 3 days off (6am - 6pm)
* 3 nights on, 3 nights off (6pm - 6am)
* Based in Huyton, Liverpool.
* 28 days paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 33 days upon 5 years' service

As a Shift Leader - Electrical, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the converting lines to ensure optimal efficiencies are achieved. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of operators and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure seamless production operations. The role involves minimising downtime, enhancing efficiency, and contributing to the overall success of the operation.
Job Overview
* Leading a multidisciplinary team of operators.
* Operating equipment to the required standards while achieving set production targets.
* Performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including tissue converting machinery, packaging equipment, and ancillary systems.
* Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime.
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely (including LOTO-PTW).
* Collaborating with production teams to minimise downtime and address issues, while documenting maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.
* Assisting with new equipment installations and managing contractor relationships.
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and developing maintenance procedures to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
* Performing basic production operator tasks as required.
* Previous experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment, preferably in tissue paper converting.
* Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
* Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
