Overview
Applications are invited for the post of a Consultant Dermatologist. The appointee will join a team of Consultants, Specialty Doctors, GPwERs, Lead Nurses and Specialist Nurses to provide dermatology services to the hospitals and local community. The post is located at Clifton Hospital, Lytham St Annes, serving the Fylde coast population.
Responsibilities
* Provide dermatology care through outpatient clinics, skin surgery and inpatient reviews at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals and other service sites.
* Participate in weekly skin cancer and bi‑weekly inflammatory multidisciplinary clinical meetings.
* Maintain the highest clinical standards and manage the dermatology department day‑to‑day.
* Teach and train junior staff and medical students.
* Ensure active participation in continuing medical education, clinical governance and audit.
* Attend departmental and Trust meetings as required.
Requirements
* Evidence of admittance to the GMC Specialist Register or a CCT/CESR within 6 months of interview.
* Dynamic, enthusiastic doctor with commitment to high‑quality dermatology care.
Working Pattern
This is a full or part‑time (10 PA) Consultant Dermatologist post. Flexible and part‑time working is welcomed, with individual job plans agreed to fit special interest and service needs. The Trust supports self‑rostering, compressed hours, annualised hours, term time, reverse term time and flexitime.
