Protocol Education are currently recruiting a passionate SEN Teacher for a specialist learning provision in the Sunderland area. The school supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, learning difficulties and communication needs, providing a structured and supportive environment where pupils can develop at their own pace. Teachers within the school work closely with support staff to deliver a highly personalised curriculum that focuses on developing both academic skills and independence. The Role As an SEN Teacher within the provision, you will: • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons suited to individual learning needs • Support pupils with communication and social development • Implement strategies that support sensory needs and emotional regulation • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and therapists • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and resilience • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP planning The Ideal Candidate The school is seeking a teacher who is enthusiastic, patient and committed to supporting pupils with additional needs. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Candidates should ideally hold a DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Protocol Education.
