Applications are invited from experienced or trainee Anatomical Pathology Technicians to join our team.
You should have or be working towards the Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology, with experience in a Cellular Pathology Laboratory or Mortuary within NHS.
The applicant must have experience in Cellular Pathology / Mortuary services and a good understanding of current practices.
The applicant will:
* Manage the day-to-day operations of NHS Forth Valley mortuary, liaising with relatives, authorities, and hospital staff.
* Participate in technical work in the Post Mortem room and Mortuary service.
* Assist in post-mortem examinations, including evisceration and sample collection.
* Handle receipt, storage, and release of deceased patients, liaising with various stakeholders.
* Participate in an out-of-hours on-call service.
The role is based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, supporting both hospital and community services.
