On‑Site Electrician – HMP Deerbolt (Barnard Castle) DL12 9BG
Salary & Hours
£30,866 – £36,135 + 15% weekend allowance
39 hours per week
* Mon–Thu: 07:30–16:00
* Fri: 07:30–15:00
* 1 in 3 weekends on rota (+15% pay)
Responsibilities
* Electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs
* Minor works and like‑for‑like replacements
* Testing & inspections to BS7671
* Safe, planned work in a secure environment
Qualifications
* Level 2 Electrical qualification
* 18th Edition (17th considered with upskilling)
* Good H&S knowledge
* Electrical maintenance experience
* Basic IT skills
Requirements
Prison security clearance and Standard DBS required (fully supported by Amey).
