Description Kent is looking for a Principal Piping and Layout Engineer (Stress) to join our multidisciplinary Engineering team based in Woking. The duration is for 6 months with a possible extension. Key Deliverables: Develop piping stress analysis philosophies and supporting technical notes to define methodology and design approach. Prepare the piping stress critical line list to identify and track all lines requiring detailed analysis. Execute stress analysis calculations and compile calculation dossiers for review and project records. Produce piping stress analysis reports summarizing results, findings, and code compliance. Create piping stress sketches and isometrics to illustrate analysis outcomes and design modifications. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering with related experience and track record working for Engineering/Client organizations in the Oil and Gas Industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition industry. Excellent technical knowledge in the field of Plant Layout Engineering in industrial and process plants sector. Plot Plan, Site Plan, Land Allocation expertise and experience for process plants design since concept. Working knowledge and hands on experience with basic or preliminary Process input (H&M Balance, Block Diagrams, Flow Diagrams). Hands on knowledge and experience of Pipe Design under ASME B31.3, B31.1, DIN, BS, EN13480. Knowledge of working to UK under CDM Regulations and production of documents to satisfy same. Similarly, UK Environmental Regulations and requirements. Hands on 3D Model engineering tools and software skills capability (e.g., S3D, E3D, or Plant 3D). 2D / 3D CAD experience and hands on ability (AutoCAD, MicroStation, 3D modelling tools and viewers). Experience in production, review and checking of isometrics, 2D Piping Layouts from 3D model environment. Production of narratives for Plant Layout and Piping Design. Knowledge of GIS, Mapping, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, field interconnections and alignment sheets. Knowledge of HSE, Safety and Global Plant Layout practices (i.e., PIP, API, GAP, etc.) Modularization and Construction knowledge. Logistics. Fire safety regulations. Allowances for compliance based in IFC, NFPA, FM. Organizational capability. Work-Break-Down structures. Work Pack preparations.
