Location: Wembley Salary: £38,700 Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Hours: Full-time with flexibility to meet service needs We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership and day-to-day running of a childrens residential home. This role involves working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure high standards of care, compliance with legislation, and positive outcomes for children and young people. About the Role The Deputy Manager will assist in managing the home in line with Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment where young people can reach their full potential. You will provide leadership to staff, support care planning, and help maintain strong relationships with external agencies and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager with the leadership and management of the home Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager Ensure the home operates in line with relevant legislation, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding procedures Assist with staff recruitment, supervision, rotas, and training Promote high standards of residential care and a positive home environment Support care planning, assessments, and placement processes Maintain effective relationships with families, professionals, and partner agencies Ensure health and safety standards are met Contribute to inspections, audits, and quality improvement plans Work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays where required Requirements Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards within 12 months) Minimum 2 years experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years At least 1 years experience supervising or managing staff Strong knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills Ability to support staff development and maintain professional standards If you are an experienced senior or deputy looking to progress within childrens residential care and support the delivery of high-quality services, apply now and a member of the team will be in touch.
