Job Title: Gas Service Engineer
Location: Wythenshawe.
Salary: £22-£23 an hour- 8 week temporary contract

Role Overview:
We are recruiting for a Gas Service Engineer to carry out servicing, maintenance, and emergency repairs on domestic gas appliances and heating systems. This field-based role is ideal for a safety-conscious, technically skilled professional with experience in residential properties and a strong commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Service domestic gas appliances in line with manufacturer specifications and current legislation
Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults to ensure safe operation
Respond to emergency gas issues, including identifying and fixing gas escapes
Complete safety checks and routine maintenance on systems and appliances
Maintain clear and accurate documentation, ensuring customer satisfaction is captured
Communicate effectively with tenants and internal teams to deliver excellent customer service
Ensure all work areas are left clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety guidelines
Use company-issued PDA/mobile to manage daily tasks and job records
Maintain van stock levels and complete vehicle checks in accordance with company policy
Requirements:
ACS Qualified in core domestic gas modules (e.g., CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1)
Experience working in domestic settings, ideally within housing or social housing
Good knowledge of gas safety regulations and industry standards
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Full UK driving licence
Excellent communication, customer service, and organisational skills
Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
