This leading city-based specialist lender and financial services firm is currently recruiting a Mortgage/Credit Administrator to join their Credit operations team.
Candidate Profile
This role is best suited for a candidate with 1-3 years of experience working in regulated mortgages/lending at a bank or lender, ideally in an administrative capacity.
Role: Permanent position with benefits - City-based location.
Hybrid: Working after 3 months' probation period.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring all lending facilities operate within the limits approved by Credit Committee and/or Group Credit Committee.
* Recording facilities into the banking system.
* Maintaining a clear audit trail of relevant documents.
* Documenting facility letters, including regulated mortgage contracts.
* Liaising with legal and valuation partners.
* Confirming the bank has adequate security and conditions precedent are met prior to draw-down.
* Facilitating draw-down of facilities.
* Conducting annual relationship management and insurance reviews.
* Ensuring loans are fully repaid before releasing security.
* Establishing systems and procedures to monitor specific requirements, e.g., mandatory insurance, staged draw-downs.
* Providing assurance to management that controls mitigate risks.
Skills and Experience
* 1-3 years of credit administration/lending experience is essential.
* Experience in legal services, underwriting, or loan relationship management is advantageous.
* Strong logical skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
* Good knowledge of the UK property market.
