Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Sussex Eating Disorders Service for Adults (SEDS). This is an exciting opportunity to work within a skilled multidisciplinary team delivering specialist assessment, treatment and recovery‑focused care for adults with eating disorders.
About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist within SEDS, you will provide clinical leadership, undertake specialist assessments, develop and implement care plans, and offer expert advice to colleagues and partner services. You will promote evidence‑based practice, support reflective learning within the team, and contribute to audit and service development. The role includes providing clinical supervision, education and training to practitioners and students, and working collaboratively with the wider MDT to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care. You will work across Sussex and liaise with specialist inpatient units where required.

About you
You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with significant post‑qualification experience, including specialist experience within eating disorder services. You will bring strong clinical assessment skills, experience supervising or mentoring staff, and the confidence to lead practice within a multidisciplinary setting. Excellent communication skills, IT literacy and the ability to travel across Sussex will be important.
Location: Brighton base with pan‑Sussex working
Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week
