Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Haematologist to join a friendly and enthusiastic team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. This appointment is a Health Board wide post, based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
The haematology service at Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB is undergoing transformation to enable sub-specialisation, expansion and development across medical and nursing roles. Collaborative work with neighbouring health boards and trusts is being explored.

Responsibilities
* Contribute to malignant and general haematology work and provide clinical, laboratory, liaison haematology services and on‑call cover.
* Share the workload equally with other consultants to ensure service provision.
* Develop a special clinical interest aligned with the Health Board’s priorities and needs.
* Support and participate in the ongoing transformation of the haematology service, including expansion of Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Consultant Nurse, and Clinical Scientist posts.
* Collaborate with colleagues and organisations, including neighbouring health boards and trusts.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in haematology with an interest in haematological malignancy and chemotherapy preferred.
* Willingness to engage in a broad range of haematology work and to participate in on‑call duties as part of a team.
* Interest in developing subspecialties in line with the clinical interests of the Health Board.

* The haematology department has close links with the regional Haematology and BMT centre in Cardiff.
