An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nutrition professional to join a leading international aquaculture business, delivering sustainable, high-performance feed solutions to global markets. This role offers a mix of technical depth, strategic impact, and leadership responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the feed formulation process, ensuring all recipes meet nutritional, operational, and regulatory standards
* Translate nutritional science into practical, high-performing feed solutions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Production, R&D, Procurement, and Quality
* Monitor product performance, investigate root causes, and implement improvements
* Assess raw materials from both nutritional and commercial perspectives to optimise costs and performance
* Maintain robust governance, data management, reporting, and KPI tracking
* Support and develop team members through coaching and leadership, fostering a high-performing environment
* Influence decisions that support business performance, customer satisfaction, and innovation
About You:
* Postgraduate qualification in Animal Nutrition (or equivalent experience)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in aquaculture, ideally including salmonids
* Strong expertise in feed formulation, nutritional science, and data analysis
* Proven leadership or management experience, including coaching others
* Commercially aware with excellent problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Experience with formulation systems (e.g. Allix or similar platforms)
