The introductory position of Assistant Casino Host (CAHA) will provide support to the Casino Host (CAHT) onboard each ship. The CAHA will assist in all onboard areas of Casino Marketing and VIP Services. This includes, but is not limited to, all administrative duties & reporting, pre and post cruise preparations, casino rewards and player program responsibilities, advertising & signage, casino tournaments, promotions, special events and casino groups.

All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with Royal Caribbean International’s The Royal Way, SQM Policies and Procedures, USPH guidelines, environmental, and safety policies. Each shipboard employee may be required to perform all functions in various service venues and throughout the ship.

In accordance with Royal Caribbean International’s philosophy of Anchored in Excellence, each employee always conducts oneself in a professional and courteous manner. This consists of physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow shipboard employees and/or in the presence of guest contact and crew areas.

The position of Assistant Casino Host reports directly to the Casino Host. Player program and marketing guidance will be communicated to the shipboard casino teams from the Traveling Casino Host, Manager, Casino Marketing & VIP Services-Shipside and/or Director of Casino Marketing. Casino Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities as needed in order to enhance the overall onboard gaming and guest experience to elevate NPS and drive revenue.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Create and promote a fun & exciting atmosphere for casino guests at all times.
* Diligently recruit new players to enroll in Club Royale Rewards Program.
* Provide VIP services desk and casino floor coverage as needed to maximize guest interaction.
* Upsell, assist, and operate casino tournaments, events and promotions.
* Continuously learn and comprehend all casino segment operations including Club Royale, Partnerships, and Royal Reps.
* Be knowledgeable of all shoreside casino marketing offers including terms & conditions of each offer and the qualifying components.
* Understand casino products and gaming, theoretical and actual win/loss, tier points, status and rewards for efficient verbal communication.
* Acquire a strong working knowledge of the following essential software systems: Aristocrat Oasis’ Super Playmate & Omniview, Genesis Pit Watch, Fidelio, CRMS, Siebel, Silverware, Tournament Director, Multimedia, SharePoint, and Smartsheets.
* Learn all aspects of Business Intelligence reporting, includes Arrivals, Player Tracking, Tier Ranking, EOV, Host Folio Comp, OBC, F&Q, Crystal, and Closing Voyage paperwork.
* Daily reporting: collate daily figures, cruise reports, PC rewards, buddy list, and accurately record weekly & monthly promotional figures within set timeframes.
* Export Oasis and Bravo reports to monitor daily play of all casino members and issue complimentary items based on play.
* Prepare daily complimentary issuance: Instant Rewards Certificates, Tier level upgrades, comp drink cards, TTO Prime issued, memos for bookings & reservations, amenities for guest staterooms, and other player requests.
* Perform all redemption forms throughout a cruise including slot play promotions, mid and end of cruise point redemption.
* Organize upcoming cruise preparations: guest count confirmations, welcome letters, Prime TTO stickers for SeaPass cards, amenities, pre‑cruise reservation requests, and PCP.
* Ensure all onboard marketing collateral & advertising is in place, with accurate & timely written verbiage, signage, and casino announcements.
* Operate effectively and responsibly under minimal supervision.
* Complete all given tasks and responsibilities accurately and timely with attention to detail.
* Follow all casino SQM and SOP guidelines.
* Attend casino‑related meetings and workshops as requested.
* Maintain correct inventory levels by reviewing stock regularly and placing orders timely.
* Step‑up and perform the full duties of the Casino Host when required.
* Fulfill the role of Acting Casino Host in the event of an absence, possibly transferring to a different ship operation.
* Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor or management from assigning logically related duties. This description does not imply these are the only duties performed by the shipboard employee in this position.
