Food Technology Teacher
Tower Hamlets, East London Start Date: September 2026 Full-Time, Permanent MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
A secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to become part of a supportive and forward-thinking Design and Technology department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop practical skills, creativity, and confidence within a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Prepare students for practical and theory-based assessments
* Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
* Monitor and assess student progress effectively
* Contribute to curriculum planning and department development
* Promote high standards of behaviour, achievement, and participation
The successful candidate will:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have strong subject knowledge within Food Technology or Design and Technology
* Demonstrate effective classroom management and communication skills
* Be organised, proactive, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning
* Have the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities
