Are you interested in making a difference to the lives of children and parents/carers living in Torbay?
We have a number of vacant positions for Home to School Transport Passenger Assistants. This is a term time-only position and you would need to be available from around 7.15am/7.30am to 09.15/9.30 am and 2.15pm/2.30pm to 4.30pm/4.45pm Monday to Friday to cover school runs throughout the Bay.
You will be picked up/dropped off from/to your home by the transport used (bus or taxi).
You will need to be flexible, dedicated and sensitive to the individual needs of the children and able to provide reassurance and assistance. You will also communicate with parents/carers, the Home to School Transport Team, school representatives and drivers to ensure the safety of the children and the smooth running of the route.

This post meets the requirements for an Enhanced Criminal Record Check. This will show spent and unspent convictions and adult cautions which have not been filtered in line with legislation, plus any information held by local Police that is considered relevant to the role.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

* Understanding of children with SEN and disabilities.
* Safeguarding.
* Epilepsy awareness.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Experience in working with children.
