Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide essential support to pupils who may find it challenging to access the curriculum.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs—helping them to engage in learning, develop social skills, and thrive within a supportive and nurturing educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils’ academic progress and emotional wellbeing
* Assist teachers with classroom management and behavioural support
* Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
* Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals

What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN or SEMH needs
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and de-escalation skills
* Ability to support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* A genuine passion for making a positive difference in young people’s lives
* Holds (or is willing to apply for) a Child Workforce Only DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
