What will I be doing?
4. Providing personal care to clients that is person centred and respects individual choices;
5. Providing additional care and support as required when a client is unwell or towards end of life;
6. Acting as a Key-worker to a number of clients;
7. Using personal knowledge and experience of working with those individuals to support the nurses in writing and reviewing care plans;
8. Documenting care given and record any changes or abnormalities in the daily notes in addition to informing the person in charge of the shift;
9. Providing support and advice to resident’s family and friends, keeping them informed at an appropriate level with due regard to the constraints of confidentiality;
10. Working with the Activities Team to develop group and 1:1 activities that will be engaging and of interest to the residents;
11. Liaising with other agencies as required in the interests of the resident, for example GP, Social Services, Occupational Therapist, etc.
What do I need to have to apply?
Whilst we’d love you to be NVQ/QCF 2 qualified in Health & Social Care with experience of providing care, your values that are more important to us.
In addition, you need to possess good communication skills, be a team player, are reliable and committed and have a natural affinity to older people.

What is Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill like?
Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill is a modern care home in Hampshire, nestled in the village of Otterbourne. The residential home provides both dementia and nursing care for up to 64 residents in a family-like environment, filled with opportunities for friendship and a sense of community.
For a home-from-home feel, Otterbourne Hill is divided into smaller households of 16 bedrooms. Our experience over the last 35 years has shown that these smaller households create a lovely family-like atmosphere. At Otterbourne Hill, each household includes a selection of communal areas and facilities where you can socialise with other residents. There are also other spaces for quieter occupations and tranquillity.
The layout of the households has been specifically designed to help people find their way around easily. Outside, the gardens and terraces are a real feature.
