Senior Electrical Engineer – Mott MacDonald Bentley
Role Overview
As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will shape the electrical functions throughout the lifecycle of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working primarily in the UK water market, you will contribute to projects that significantly impact our environment and communities.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and review electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment, including Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs and SCADA.
* Produce and review technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities, and review supplier tender bids and technical submissions.
* Supervise and mentor graduates and engineers, assisting them to develop their knowledge and skills.
* Apply and contribute to design standards, with a good knowledge of Client and WIMES standards.
* Build client relationships and support them to achieve their aims.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience.
* Experience delivering high‑quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
* Effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders.
* Methodical problem‑solving approach.
* A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region.
