We are looking for a well‑organised and enthusiastic individual to join the busy Paediatric secretarial teams, who has the ability to work well under pressure, be organised, have excellent communication skills and confident doing minutes are essential.
You must be able to work both independently and within the team, liaise with staff at all levels in a confident manner and be willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer phones and respond to emails.
* Type clinic letters and dictations.
* Liaise with patients and GP surgeries.
* Take minutes of consultant meetings.
* Manage diaries, coordinate and arrange meetings, and take minutes.
* Receive telephone calls from patients, hospital staff and GPs; remain calm and polite and take messages or redirect as appropriate.
There is the opportunity for a mixture of on‑site/homeworking after training.
