A Day in the Life of an Electromechanical Technician
You'll diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical, mechanical, and automated systems used in food manufacturing and packaging processes. Your hands-on expertise ensures maximum uptime, equipment reliability, and compliance with food safety standards—helping deliver top-quality deli meats and other products to the market.
Prioritizing safety in all tasks while adhering to OSHA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, and other food safety and manufacturing standards
Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems (120V to 480V), mechanical components, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Diagnosing issues with PLCs and industrial automation systems
Reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
Assisting with equipment installations, system upgrades, and process improvements
Collaborating with production and quality assurance teams to optimize operations
Minimum 5+ years of experience in electromechanical maintenance, preferably in the food processing industry
Proficiency in industrial electrical components (120V to 480V), mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and automation systems
Familiarity with food industry regulations and OSHA safety standards
Certifications in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field are preferred
