Overview
Process Engineer in our Water Non‑Infrastructure team, collaborating with the project design team to develop process solutions that optimise plant performance, use standard designs and adhere to @one engineering design standards.
Key Responsibilities
 * Undertake process design of Water Treatment Plants and/or water systems that achieve Anglian Water’s goals in customer, environment, and efficiency.
 * Produce technical deliverables including technical schedules and data sheets, engineering calculations (hydraulic, pump, mass balance, RICS, etc.), specifications for engineering subcontracts.
 * Work closely with the supply chain and perform technical bid analysis of their designs.
 * Oversee key outputs such as process calculations, hydraulics, unit processes, pump calculations, capacity calculations, and technical bid analysis of third‑party process equipment.
 * Communicate effectively at all relevant levels to ensure technical excellence is understood and implemented.
 * Escalate issues that may impact time/cost/quality before they become problems or exceed agreed timescales.
 * Support H&S excellence by applying CDM regulations, standards, and accepted codes of practice to produce safe designs.
 * Maintain close links with other Engineering teams to ensure smooth interfaces, manage gaps/overlaps, and share best practice.
Qualifications & Experience
Educated to degree level in water process science/engineering‑related subjects with experience of process engineering in water treatment. Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, and the ability to champion collaboration. Demonstrated IT skills combining technical and people abilities to deliver process‑engineering solutions.
