The Role
Reporting into an experienced Procurement Manager you will join the team working alongside two Buyers who oversee direct spend. As Assistant Buyer you will be responsible for Purchasing the Indirect Materials & Services working with a number of stakeholders to ensure the Manufacturing Operation is fully supported. As time progresses you will start supporting and eventually delivering on Direct buying duties alongside the two Buyers.
Key Responsibilities-
Supporting the Procurement Manager in line with annual purchasing strategy
Purchasing of Indirect materials and services.
Assist in sourcing suppliers & obtaining quotations.
Support and assist in maintaining accurate system data for suppliers, lead time, pricing, due dates, batch sizes and cost price field for new items.
Building and developing good supplier & internal customer relationships.
What they're looking for
The successful candidate will have career experience within Purchasing or Supply Planning, this could 1-2 years at Purchasing Assistant / Administrator level and now looking for career development or alternatively already working at Assistant Buyer / Buyer level but your current role doesn't offer further professional development, which this does in both duties delivered and professional CIPS qualification. Alongside your role experience you will be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach when alongside stakeholders.
