Overview
Are you looking for a rotational post which will allow you to develop clinical skills across a range of specialities? This rotational post is on the West rotation at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. The rotations are for 9 months each, with shift patterns varying by rotation (Community Therapy provides a 7-day service; other teams are Monday–Friday). This role offers experience across physical, mental health, inpatient, community and neuro settings.

Support galore: You will be part of a team of established, supportive and welcoming OTs and other MDT professionals. If applicable you will be enrolled on a year-long preceptorship programme, with regular supervision and appraisal, and opportunities to attend in-service training.
Be part of something bigger: You’ll be a key player in our integrated & specialist community services, working with health and social care professionals.
Tech Savvy: You’ll need to use electronic patient records; training and support will be provided to develop digital skills.
Mobility: A full UK driving licence with access to an appropriate vehicle is essential.

Main duties of the job
Your Mission: You will provide an occupational therapy assessment and rehabilitation service to patients within your rotation area.
Your Superpowers: Professional approach with good communication and problem-solving skills, positive MDT working, and person-centred care. Keen to learn and engage with a wide range of OT interventions in various settings.
Team working: Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues on clinical work and with other professionals within the MDT and external agencies.
Experience: You must be an HCPC registered OT. This post is suitable for new graduates or for practitioners seeking experience across diverse clinical settings.
Settings: Hinckley Community Therapy; D2A Ward Coalville; Stroke Ward Coalville; Mental Health Services for Older People in Loughborough or Hinckley; Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Services in Loughborough or Hinckley. The starting location depends on service gaps.
