Overview
Digital Infrastructure Design Engineer – WSP in the UK & Ireland. Role can be based in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or London.
What you will do
* Engage in design tasks within a broader team, facilitating on‑the‑job learning across roadside infrastructure design.
* Collaborate effectively with the team, share ideas, provide support, and address gaps as necessary.
* Mentor and contribute to the development of junior staff.
* Approach design challenges with a strong problem‑solving mindset, navigating ambiguity and escalating issues to senior staff when appropriate.
What we are looking for
* A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or relevant experience in technology design.
* Either working towards professional registration or professionally registered with an accredited institute.
* Domain knowledge in a relevant industry such as power, communications, electrical, electronics or highway design.
The ideal candidate will also have the following skills or competencies:
* Understanding of roadside infrastructure and design standards.
* Ability to carry out design processes, including the use of design tools.
* Ability to work as part of a team in delivering designs or schemes.
* Ability to collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines.
