We are hiring for a Flex Shift position which will cover all three shifts where needed.
Shift: 1st Shift 6am - 2:30pm
Shift: 2nd Shift 2pm - 10:30pm | Shift Differential $0.40 hour
Shift: 3rd Shift 10pm - 6:30am | Shift Differential $0.80 hour
Job Summary
The job of the janitor is to ensure that all restrooms, breakrooms, sinks and offices are clean and sanitary. The janitor will collect and properly dispose of trash bags routinely throughout the day. Janitors report directly to Sanitation Supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities
* Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately. All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor in charge during their shift.
* Clean and sanitize bathrooms, offices, and breakrooms.
* Clean, sweep, mop, wash, and vacuum floors throughout the production plant facility.
* Empty trash inside the production plant and all other areas throughout the facility.
* Maintain all exterior walking areas throughout the entire plant facility sweeping debris and washing walkways.
* Remove recycling materials such as cardboard boxes and plastic covers and dispose properly.
* Track and maintain all GMP, Color coding, and Janitorial supplies.
* Maintain all automatic hand sanitizers, soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, GMP stations, and color-coding stations throughout the entire plant production facility.
* Clean all windows throughout the plant facility.
* Follow all safety rules and practices to include the wearing of all essential personal protective equipment.
* Follow all personal hygiene and food safety practices.
* Act professionally towards customers, vendors and other visitors to the plant.
* All other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
* High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
* Ability to follow instructions.
* Ability to read and understand chemical labels.
* Must have a forklift license or the ability to obtain one.
Physical Requirements
* The ability to meet flexible and changing priorities and the ability to work under pressure is a must. 100% standing and climbing stairs in a normal manufacturing environment. Ability to stand for the duration of the shift. Must be able to lift 50lbs on a consistent basis. Ability to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods.
