Overview
We are seeking a Systems Analyst to support and drive innovative cloud computing solutions across AWS services. This role focuses on building, managing, and improving services such as Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps at scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Be a catalyst to deliver truly disruptive products that are growing rapidly.
* Define, build, own, and run services in high‑growth environments.
* Solve unique and first‑order problems in massive‑scale areas such as compute services, DynamoDB/NoSQL databases, Glacier, S3 data lakes, and other AWS services.
* Learn how to build and operate distributed systems at massive scale.
* Build and influence the tools and utilities that are part of the AWS fleet running our internal services.
Day in the Life
Amazon has a collaborative, purposeful, and enthusiastic environment. On a typical day, engineers may deep‑dive to determine the root cause of a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending the wrong way, consult with top engineers, or discuss radical new approaches to automate operational issues. As a Systems Analyst, you will own support activities for services, regularly work with development teams to establish and improve service support, drive issues to resolution, understand business logic and architecture, resolve undocumented trouble tickets, contribute to support documentation, perform code builds and deployments, and create and interpret metrics that measure support success and service performance.
Basic Qualifications
* Passion and interest in upskilling in tech, specifically focusing on areas such as systems administration, troubleshooting, and networking fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.
* Experience in the Linux environment.
* Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
* Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, including networking administration and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
Conditions
You must be a UK national and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance.
