The Real Estate team focuses on London’s Real Estate insurance market, with a solutions-based underwriting approach and broad distribution channels. This is a market-facing role aimed at driving growth, cultivating broker relationships, and shaping strategic direction for 2026 and beyond.
We are seeking a candidate with deep expertise in UK and European Real Estate programmes, a sharp commercial mindset, and the confidence to challenge convention. Your Responsibilities
* Underwrite and service Real Estate accounts across multiple distribution channels, aligning with Everest’s underwriting strategy, appetite, and profitability targets.
* Develop the Real Estate portfolio while maintaining disciplined underwriting practices.
* Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key brokers and clients, acting as a market-facing representative of the business.
* Prepare and present quotations and proposals for both new and renewal business.
* Contribute to the evolution of internal systems, processes, and workflows to enhance operating efficiency.
* Represent the Real Estate team in communications with senior management and cross-functional departments.
* Collaborate with other underwriting teams and departments, including Claims, Loss Control, and Finance.
* Support business development through innovative strategies and by leveraging the Everest network.
* Uphold internal controls and regulatory requirements in all underwriting and administrative activities.
Your Skills & Experience
* Proven underwriting experience in UK and European Real Estate programmes, including delegated authority binder business.
* Recognised market presence with the ability to build and maintain high-value relationships internally and externally.
* Deep understanding of the market landscape, trends, and product offerings.
* Advanced analytical and technical skills, including expertise in policy wordings and risk assessment.
* Sound judgment and business insight in decision-making and risk evaluation.
* Effective communication and confident negotiation, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Strategic thinking, identifying opportunities and anticipating market shifts.
* Commitment to compliance and governance across underwriting activities.
* Interest in mentoring and developing junior team members.
