Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual for the position of Delivery Driver. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient delivery of goods and services while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in delivery driving, with the ability to handle heavy lifting and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Duties
* Safely operate our delivery vans to transport goods to various locations in the north.
* Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of products during transit.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transit.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
* Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
* Valid driver's licence
* Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 kg) as required by the role.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers.
* A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Pay is dependent on experience. Approximately 8am-4pm Monday to Friday.
