Role – Planned Maintenance & Compliance Coordinator
Salary: £35,400 - £41,400
Role based: York, Head Office, YO32 9PT
We are seeking Planned Maintenance & Compliance Coordinator to join our skilled team within the Central Production team, located at our Head Office and primary manufacturing site in York.
The Planned Maintenance & Compliance Coordinator is responsible for managing compliance-related administrative tasks, analysing data, producing management reports, and coordinating engineering and maintenance activities in support of business objectives.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will maintain accurate records of compliance-related documents, including certifications, inspections, permits, and maintenance schedules. Tracking key compliance deadlines and ensuring timely execution of statutory and regulatory activities are among your duties.
As Planned Maintenance & Compliance Coordinator, you will:
1. Prepare and distribute reports on compliance status, identifying gaps and corrective actions as necessary.
2. Ensure all documentation complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
3. Schedule and coordinate inspections, servicing, and audits with internal teams and external contractors.
4. Maintain a master calendar for engineering and maintenance compliance activities, ensuring alignment with operational requirements.
5. Support the procurement process by verifying contractor credentials, certifications, and compliance with safety standards.
6. Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to input, track, and analyse maintenance and compliance data.
7. Procure parts and equipment required to support the department’s activities.
8. Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and respond to audit inquiries.
9. Assist in the development, review, and implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
* Has 5 GCSEs Grades A-C or equivalent, including maths and English
* Has completed a recognised mechanical or electrical apprenticeship to Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent qualification) or higher
* HNC or engineering degree in mechanical or electrical discipline – desirable
* Health and Safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH Certificate) – desirable
* Practical engineering ability
* Knowledge of principles of mechanical and electrical work
* Administrative experience, ideally within maintenance or facilities management
* Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., health and safety, building regulations)
* Proficiency in creating, reviewing, and maintaining technical compliance documents
