About the role: Temporary Student Finance Assistant
Activate Learning are looking for Temporary Student Finance Assistants to join our Student Finance team based at our Banbury Campus on a casual basis from June to October 2024 to support with our main student enrolment period.
This could be a great opportunity for a student looking for work during the holidays, or an experienced administrator who's looking for short-term work.
You will contribute to student retention by administering student finance schemes, ensuring that awards and payments are made fairly, promptly and in line with policy, procedures and guidance.
You will keep accurate records and maintain a high standard in all written and verbal communications. You will act as a point of contact for colleagues supporting students to access finance support and deliver an excellent experience for students, achieving a high level of student satisfaction.
Hours are flexible and up to 37 hours per week. The rate of pay is £12.21 per hour.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
You will have a positive mindset and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. No experience is required, though an interest in how the team works to benefit students who require financial support would be very desirable.
We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated and have a flexible approach, with the ability to work at pace without hindering accuracy and data input. For this we'll require excellent administration skills and an eye for detail, as well as good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
You'll have level 2 qualifications in maths and English, and preferably be working towards a level 3 of higher qualification.
