Job Description
The on-site Facilities Support Technician plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the site by supporting the Facilities team in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. This role involves hands-on support, coordination with contractors, and proactive maintenance of facilities and services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Assist with the daily upkeep and presentation of the site, including general maintenance and minor repairs.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
* Respond promptly to facilities-related requests from staff and escalate where necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service visits.
* Liaise with external contractors and service providers to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
* Maintain stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies and place orders as required.
* Support emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid equipment checks.
* Assist with waste management and recycling initiatives across the site.
* Monitor and report any building or equipment issues to the Facilities Manager.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, or site support role.
* Good understanding of health and safety practices.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic IT skills (e.g., email, spreadsheets, maintenance logging systems
* Hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle
Additional Information
£16,000 per annum (24 hours per week)
* 3 days per week (Monday-Friday)
* Available to work on weekends when required
