Job Summary
14‑month fixed‑term apprenticeship (HealthCare Support Worker Apprenticeship Standard). Working in the busy Maternity Unit at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Main Duties
* Work with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑standard patient care.
* Provide direct care to maternity patients, assist parents with baby care, maintain hygiene, clean changing areas.
* Complete competency training – documentation, patient care procedures, bed and cot hygiene.
* Support babies and parents in a fast‑paced, demanding environment.
* Work well under pressure and adapt to a busy maternity setting.

Requirements
* Aged 16+; resident in the UK/EEA for the last three consecutive years.
* No prior qualification at the same level or above; not in any formal education at apprenticeship start.
* Good general standard of education.
* 4 GCSEs at D/3 or above (including Maths and English).
* Good literacy, numeracy, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good IT skills.
Person Specification – Essential
* 4 GCSEs at D/3 or above (preferably Maths and English).
* Good command of written and spoken English.
* Team‑working ability.
