We are now recruiting for a qualified Finance Manager (CIMA, ACCA or AAT) who will be responsible for producing our monthly management accounts, including supporting activities and schedules. This will include VAT returns and preparing any additional reports and schedules for quarterly reporting and our year end audit.
This role can be hybrid, working 3 days per week in our Leyland office, and 2 days remotely.
Our modern office in Leyland is just 10 minutes from junctions 28 & 29 of the M6 with free parking available and easily accessible by public transport.
Job Accountabilities:
1. Lead the management accounts team in preparation of the following:
2. Monthly management accounts (P&L and balance sheet)
3. Complete balance sheet reconciliations with all appropriate backing and follow up actions detailed
4. Analysis of monthly costs & investigation of variances to budget/forecast
5. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets & monthly and quarterly forecasts
6. Assisting with production of supporting schedules for annual statutory accounts & tax returns
7. Ad hoc analysis
8. Support development needs of four direct reports
9. Drive a continuous improvement culture
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
10. Significant previous experience in a busy, dynamic Finance department within a diverse team
11. CIMA, ACCA or AAT qualified
12. Previous management experience
13. A proven track record of producing accurate management accounts
14. Able to work to a high degree of accuracy and to strict deadlines
15. Excellent communication skills, able to build great working relationships with stakeholders
16. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
17. Able to work individually and within a team
18. Experience of using Sage
Desirable:
19. Experience working within a high volume business
20. The ability to influence and support colleague development
21. Travel industry experience
22. Knowledge and experience of Sage X3
23. Experience of working with external auditors
