Domestic Abuse Specialist Officer
Location: Dartford, Kent (agile working, offering flexibility between office and home)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Salary: £32,936 to £41,170 per annum plus Car Allowance of £2,329 per annum (salary offered dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent
Are you passionate about supporting communities and making a difference in people's lives? Do you have experience in dealing with complex tenancy issues?
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Tenancy Specialist Officer, primarily focusing on domestic abuse cases, with potential involvement in anti-social behaviour (ASB) and tenancy fraud cases.
We support agile working; you will be provided with a laptop, tablet, and phone to work flexibly between home, our schemes, and our office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage complex and sensitive cases, providing excellent service and acting as a key contact for customers.
* Work closely with colleagues to ensure effective tenancy management and improve customer outcomes, especially for those affected by domestic abuse.
* Apply knowledge of domestic abuse legislation, tenancy law, and ASB to handle cases using legal and non-legal remedies.
* Understand court processes and safeguarding practices.
* Occasional work outside normal hours and site visits/court attendance as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Strong understanding of domestic abuse legislation and tenancy law.
* Experience handling complex tenancy issues.
* Confidence in using legal remedies and knowledge of court procedures.
* Ability to manage sensitive cases with discretion.
