As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Oversight and Governance Technology, you are an essential team member working to develop trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will drive significant business impact through your expertise and problem-solving skills, addressing challenges across multiple technologies and applications.
Job Responsibilities
* Partner with Platform Designers to provide technical input to designs, ensuring detailed backlog definitions for engineers.
* Contribute as an individual contributor for UI components using Typescript, React, and Salt Design System.
* Develop and maintain automation tools, developer experience enhancements, and guidance documentation.
* Provide technical guidance to support business and technical teams, including contractors and vendors.
* Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others.
* Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
* Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more technical areas.
* Contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC practices.
* Encourage peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies.
* Foster a team culture rooted in equity, respect, and collaboration.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
* Formal training or certification in software engineering with practical experience.
* Significant experience delivering high-quality enterprise software.
* Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
* Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
* Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes, including cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.
* Ability to independently resolve design and functionality challenges.
* Practical experience with cloud technologies.
* Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
Additional Skills and Experience
* Experience in creating component libraries and interaction patterns.
* Experience with visual regression testing, accessibility testing, and automation for quality assurance.
* Proven ability to educate and mentor others.
