Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Small Animal Practice | Hampshire, UK (Choice of 1 of 3 Sites) £45,000 – £75,000 DOE | Full-Time | Permanent or 12-Month FTC

The role can be based at one of three well-equipped sites across Hampshire, depending on the successful applicant’s preference. Whether you have recently qualified, or have many years of experience under your belt, they are happy to craft the perfect role for you based on your skillset and long-term career objectives.
What You’ll Do
* Carry out thorough clinical examinations, including full physical exams, dental checks, and orthopaedic assessments
* Perform diagnostics such as blood testing, digital and dental X-rays, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory work
* Undertake routine and advanced surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, soft tissue surgery, and emergency interventions
* Deliver care in line with RCVS best practice guidelines, ensuring patient welfare and best clinical outcomes
* Communicate treatment plans clearly with clients and work collaboratively with RVNs, SVNs, and support teams

What They’re Looking For
Clinical Expertise – Confidence in consulting and routine surgical procedures RCVS registration with the ability to manage common medical and surgical cases independently
Client Communication – Clear, empathetic communication style Experience discussing treatment plans and gaining informed consent
Team Collaboration – A positive, team-oriented approach Proven experience working closely with nursing and veterinary colleagues
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making – Strong clinical judgement Ability to assess complex cases and make sound, evidence-based decisions
Adaptability & Continuous Learning – Commitment to ongoing development Active engagement with CPD and openness to developing new skills
