Assistant Transport Planner
Location: Fleet, Hampshire or Birmingham
Salary:
·Assistant Level: £28,000 - £34,000
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday | Office-based

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate or Assistant Transport Planner to join a highly experienced team working on diverse transport and infrastructure projects across the UK. With a strong emphasis on training, mentoring, and progression, you'll have the chance to make a significant impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
· Assist with Travel Plans and their coordination
· Analyze and present technical data and drawings
· Conduct junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG
· Liaise with clients, contractors, and authorities
· Support advice delivery on highways and transport matters
· Conduct site appraisals and surveys; contribute to reports and presentations
· Maintain project documentation (digital and paper)
· Support other transport-related tasks as directed
What We're Looking For:
Education / Background:
· Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering (essential)
· Understanding or experience of UK Transport Planning standards (essential)
· 1-2 years' experience in a similar consultancy environment preferred
Technical Skills:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
· Experience with ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG (essential)
· AutoCAD experience (desirable)
