Up to £56,.96 depending on experience
Norse Consulting are a national building services consultancy service delivering innovative and high-quality projects to our public and private sector clients, designing bespoke packages to meet their individual needs.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Surveyor to join our team based in Norwich taking responsibility for assisting in the delivery of Estate Management and Valuation services.
Main Responsibilities will include:
1. Undertaking a variety of RICS ‘Red Book’ Valuations including asset valuations.
2. Providing development appraisals, valuations and general advice for a variety of different purposes.
3. Negotiating the settlement of terms for the acquisition and disposal of property.
4. Preparing committee reports and briefings for clients, attending committees and working groups as necessary.
5. Ensuring that Customer requirements are identified and agreed with the Client.
6. Taking and granting leases, tenancies, licences, hiring’s, easements, concessions and other legal or equitable interest.
7. General management including rent reviews, surrenders, assignments, sub lettings, improvement works, term compensation and dilapidations.
8. Verifying rating assessments including appeal work where appropriate.
Our Successful Candidate:
You will have extensive previous experience in a similar or related role, alongside:
9. Professional Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
10. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an Estates related discipline
11. Legal knowledge of landlord and tenant, compulsory purchase and compensation, and knowledge of property valuation techniques
12. Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and the risks and hazards associated with asbestos
13. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
14. Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
