About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of our operational compliance, quality management, and business governance frameworks.
You’ll lead the day-to-day running of our internal operations, ensuring everything we do is efficient, compliant, and aligned with ISO 9001 quality management standards. From policy creation and internal audits to vendor oversight and certification management, you’ll be the driving force behind our operational excellence.

Quality, Governance & Compliance
* Take ownership of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring processes, records, and documentation meet certification standards.
* Coordinate all activities for external ISO 9001 and Cyber Essentials audits, keeping Sunfish audit ready.
* Maintain and improve internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
* Conduct internal audits, track nonconformities, and oversee corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection, insurance, and risk management requirements.
* Lead quality and compliance awareness across the business through training and engagement.
Operational Leadership
* Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
* Act as the first point of contact for operational queries, supporting cross-functional collaboration.
* Manage documentation control and reporting aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
* Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus).
* Manage external providers (HR, IT, Legal, Payroll) and monitor service delivery against SLAs.
* Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain supplier compliance records.
* Lead supplier audits and manage corrective actions when needed.
Finance & Procurement
* Work closely with the Finance team on procurement, budgeting, and invoice management.
* Maintain fully auditable records of purchasing and supplier contracts in line with QMS requirements.
What You’ll Bring
* 5+ years’ experience in operations, governance, or compliance within a professional services or consulting environment.
* Proven experience maintaining or implementing ISO 9001 certification.
* Strong understanding of quality management, risk control, and internal audit processes.
* Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills.
* Confident with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and similar business systems.
* Experience working within an SME or digital consultancy.
* Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, GDPR, and Health & Safety.
* ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification.
* Familiarity with HRIS, Xero, or similar operational platforms.
