The Role:We are currently recruiting for a dedicated andpassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a weing and inclusive secondary school in Preston. You will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in a mainstream setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
2. Assist in the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour support plans
3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
4. Support classroom activities and adapt materials to meet individual needs
5. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
About You:
6. Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school or alternative settings)
7. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
8. Strongmunication and teamwork skills
9. A genuine passion for supporting young people
10. Relevant qualifications (, CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) are desirable but not essential.
