Overview

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our dynamic front door service. The role involves managing a caseload and providing support to victims/survivors within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be empathetic, approachable and knowledgeable about safeguarding against abuse, with opportunities for continued professional development within the organisation.


Responsibilities

* Deliver an effective trauma-informed approach to first contact, care and support for clients who are victims/survivors of abuse.
* Provide immediate high-quality information, advice and guidance to victims of domestic abuse, offering Tier 1 support (Tier 1 support is defined as no more than 5 days).
* Understand current and historic situations, conduct risk assessment, assess victim impact and determine next steps.
* Lead in more complex circumstances, manage webchat and other communication channels, and develop resources for the team and for victims.
* Engage in partner liaison to respond to victims and work within set targets for response and victim outcomes.
* Maintain timely responses to all stakeholders, applying excellent interpersonal skills, IT confidence and organised administration.
* Contribute to establishing the ongoing relationship with BCWA from the first contact.
* Follow the organisation’s application process as part of recruitment and documentation requirements for new roles.


Qualifications and Skills

* Empathetic, approachable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of safeguarding against abuse and trauma-informed practice.
* IT confident with efficient administration skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong communication and liaison capabilities.
* Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of vulnerable adults, children and young people.
* Ability to work within organisational policies and procedures and to meet set targets and service standards.

Services include advocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support, and access to a range of therapeutic interventions. All services are client- and needs-led.
