Are you looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor role? Interested in working for a leading Construction Company? VANRATH is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within the Building Maintenance department for a large, leading Construction Company in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Overview:
Lead all commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of multiple projects, focusing on profitability, legal compliance, and proactive management of commercial issues. Oversee applications, valuations, payments, and ensure activities align with company policies. Play a key role in guiding commercial strategy and project delivery from a financial and contractual perspective.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Project Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecasts, financial reports, cost control, and cash collection. Provide strategic insights to maximize profitability.
2. Contract Administration: Administer contracts, negotiate variations, and ensure contractual obligations and legal risks are managed.
3. Procurement and Tendering: Supervise procurement, evaluate bids, select subcontractors, and ensure value for money.
4. Cost Valuation and Reporting: Conduct valuations, manage payments, prepare final accounts, and oversee financial reporting (CVRs/WCT).
5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risks, safeguarding company interests.
The Ideal Person:
* Degree qualified or relevant qualifications
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Proven track record in senior roles with high-value projects
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and practices
* Advanced knowledge of contract law, building regulations, and safety regulations
* Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills
* Social Housing or maintenance experience preferred
* Good IT skills and ability to work under pressure
