Service Centre Supervisor Repair / Workshop / Bench, UK
Location: Huntingdon, UK
As someone experienced in working in a Repair Centre, Bench or Workshop, and as a leader of people, you will manage a small, talented team to excel in servicing and repairing our innovative medical devices.
About Us: At Mindray, we are dedicated to providing top-notch technical services across the UK. Our Service Centre is central to our operations, ensuring customer requirements are met with professionalism and precision.
What You'll Do:
1. Take ownership of the daily operations of the Service Centre in Huntingdon and all related activities.
2. Provide technical support for inspection, repair, and calibration of Mindray products nationwide.
3. Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory, workshop tools, test equipment, and loan devices, ensuring all tools and equipment are in full working condition.
4. Manage local spare parts safety stock with guidance from the Spare Parts Centre.
5. Control the Test equipment fleet and ensure calibration records comply with ISO registration standards.
6. Assist the Service Manager with workshop processes and ISO-compliant procedures.
7. Train technical staff internally and externally on designated equipment.
8. Assist in managing Distributors and third-party service providers.
9. Mentor your direct reports with a hands-on approach, executing training plans.
10. Develop and maintain a technical training schedule for external technicians and engineers.
11. Support Field Safety Notices and collaborate with the Service Manager and Field Supervisors to ensure timely completion.
12. Provide weekly updates and reports to the Service Manager.
What We're Looking For:
1. Current experience as a Workshop, Repair Centre, Bench, Service Centre, or Maintenance Manager in a similar industry, such as electronic medical device servicing.
2. Senior or lead engineer in a bench team seeking career development.
3. Experience as a Service Centre, Workshop, Repair, or Bench Supervisor in Medical Devices, aiming to be based in Huntingdon, Monday to Friday.
4. Skilled in troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of electronic medical equipment.
5. People management experience is preferred.
6. Knowledge of Medical Capital equipment is advantageous, but relevant skills and behaviors are more important.
7. Well-organized, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
8. Proficient in computer and office software, including intermediate Microsoft Excel & Word, and advanced CRM systems.
9. Legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
