The Bell Foundation Role: Trustees Remuneration: Unremunerated. Reasonable expenses are reimbursed. Time commitment: Approximately one day a month. Trustees are appointed for a three-year period, renewable for a further two terms of three years. Location: Cambridge / Online Are you passionate about language education and making a lasting impact on the lives of those who speak English as a Second or Additional Language? Our vision is to create opportunities, change lives, and overcome exclusion through language education. Our work reaches children who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL), refugees and migrants, individuals within the criminal justice system, and young people and adults learning English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) The Foundation is now looking for three new Trustees who can contribute to our work. For two, we are flexible about the skills sets that you bring, but you need to have an understanding of charity governance, a commitment to our mission and ideally, lived experience of EAL or ESOL and an ability to operate at Board level. For the third, we are looking for a qualified accountant with experience of asset management and oversight. Driven and determined, you will have superb communication and engagement skills, which will allow you to forge productive and collaborative relationships with other Trustees. Above all, you will demonstrate a genuine commitment to overcoming exclusion through language education.
