About the Role
The North Sefton Planned Therapy Team are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our friendly team, to support with the delivery of high quality care for our service users. This is a fixed 12-month period to cover maternity leave.
Responsibilities
* Carry out assessments for adults in the community for equipment and adaptations to increase independence, safety and assist people to remain in their own homes and care homes.
* Conduct community visits, assessing complex patients with multiple co-morbidities, within their homes (including care homes).
* Utilise developed specialist knowledge to provide professional contributions within designated Occupational Therapy Services.
* Assist in the organisation, development, coordination and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy Service in conjunction with the Clinical Principle Occupational Therapist and relevant Team/Service Manager.
* Contribute to an environment that works with local services to provide evidence‑based assessment and delivery of care.
* Continue with own professional development and assist with that of other OT staff.
* Adopt a flexible approach to working hours to ensure that the needs of clients are met.
Requirements
* Band 6 Occupational Therapist with suitable qualifications and experience.
* Subject to an enhanced with children’s and adults’ barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
