Class 1 Casual Driver
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Shift: Zero hour contract, casual

Duties include:
* Trunking deliveries from Hemel to customer locations (e.g. Oxford, Southampton, Milton Keynes, etc.)
* Safe and compliant operation of HGV vehicles in line with DVSA and company standards
* Completion of daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and defect reporting
* Correct coupling/uncoupling procedures
* Adherence to driver hours, WTD and tachograph regulations
* Ensuring timely and professional delivery service
Hours are ad-hoc and based on operational requirements, primarily covering Monday to Friday shifts with occasional weekend work depending on peak demand. Typical shifts start between 17:00 - 20:30 for trunking operations.
Rota is flexible and offered on a weekly basis, with drivers contacted in advance to confirm availability. This is a zero/casual hours arrangement to support peak periods, annual leave and unplanned absences.
Experience required:
1. Hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence, ready to take on the open road with confidence.
2. Possess a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card, ensuring you're always compliant and prepared.
