Business Analyst (BA) – Governance, Process and Policy My client is a leading UK transport company running multiple train and bus franchises across the country. They are looking at bringing in a Business Analyst focussed on governance, process and policies to be part of a programme to set up a new IT Governance across the group.The role will be responsible for:Liaising with stakeholders across the business, both within IT and other business function such as procurement, finance and legal, to gather requirements and understand the as is landscape around governance, processes and approvalsGain a deep understanding of the current landscape and interdependencies in governance structures and working processes to map existing processes for sequences of approval process and hierarchy of approval processesCreate new business processes, policies and standards around how business cases are reviewed, approved and how spend is allocatedReview current governance structures across procurement processes, IT tender processes, IT finance processes, IT investment processes, IT teams, BAU activities and IT project deliveryReview all governance with suppliers and integrate this in to the new IT GovernanceMap and catalogue the architecture landscape within the organisationWorkshop facilitation, process definition, data analysis and business analysisThe ideal candidate is a Business Analyst (BA) who understands governance, process, policies, standards and hierarchies and has worked on a programme to review current IT governance structure and put in place a new IT Governance framework.They must be very collaborative and engaging and comfortable engaging stakeholders across IT, such as architects, programme managers and technical experts as well as business stakeholders within the finance, procurement and legal functions.
